Hello! I’m Kirsty and I'm a working mother of three very active boys and a Nutritional Therapist.

My interest in Nutritional Therapy came about for a number of reasons, partly to do with my children’s psoriasis (a long lasting auto immune disease) and partly to do with my family history of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. My knowledge in Nutritional Therapy makes me feel that I'm in a position to hopefully prevent these diseases and remain in the best possible health to look after my children and family.

"I believe that if you don’t look after yourself how can you possibly take care of anyone else?!"

I also suffer from Endometriosis (a common condition where tissue that behaves like the lining of the womb is found in other parts of the body) – whilst studying I learnt that through dietary and lifestyle changes the symptoms of this condition would massively improve. This is a massive relief for my family who I think found me quite hard work at times!

For me nutrition and lifestyle are about balance – when life is busy you don’t want strict rules to follow and you don’t want to be made to feel guilty about the odd glass of wine/beer or the odd chocolate bar!

"Nutrition is about finding the balance between enjoying life and keeping yourself in the best possible health."

I qualified at the London College of Naturopathic Medicine and I'm a full member of the British Association of Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and registered with the Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

Going forward I make sure to continue my professional development by attending seminars and conferences on a wide variety of topics – nutritional therapy and research is an ever moving and changing subject and I'll continue to ensure that I'm aware of as many of the developments and as much of the latest research as possible.

One last point, which resonates more than anything with me, is that I love the fact that nutrition really is the best medicine and that prevention is so much better than cure!
